Uriel offered a small, grim smile to his friend. "Sir, I've seen plenty of battles. Out of all the ones I have seen, no one is more terrible than an angel. No, I'm quite serious. We become something completely different on the battle field. We're beyond humans and demons. We're nightmares."
"I highly doubt that an angel is capable of actually doing something like that."
"What, murdering our own kind? Performing the worst torture you could ever dream of? Oh it's quite possible," the archangel tipped back his virgin mary. "It's very easy to do. That is if you're at war."

I really wanted to get my previous picture off of my page, so I decided to do a bit of Uriel art for a change of pace.
This is Uriel during the Lucifian War performing a transmutation while in his armour. I'm very proud of this overall, especially the shading on the transmutation and the armour. The hair also came out rather nicely I think. I got lazy on the background, but I think overall it isn't too shabby looking.
Heh. It isn't as surprising as it might seem. There's actually a few alchemic references in my dictionary of angels. Under the entry for Uriel it states that some canons believed that Uriel gave Alchemy to mankind.
Ironically enough, in Dante's Inferno Dante placed alchemists in the 8th circle of Hell.
